Roadside Tyre Help near Saint-Tropez
Inching along the single RD98a into Saint-Tropez in a summer jam when a tyre finally gives up near Pampelonne? Whether you are by the Old Port, up at the citadel or out towards Ramatuelle and Gassin, we bring the tyres and tools to your roadside. We run from Toulon and the only road in is notoriously slow, so please allow a realistic 55 to 75 minutes.
What we do, right where you are
We repair tread punctures on the spot with a plug or internal patch and replace any tyre that is beyond saving where you have stopped. Tyres are sold in pairs only — two, four or six — never a single tyre, so the car stays balanced on the narrow beach roads. We also renew valves, reset TPMS sensors, balance wheels, fit your spare if you carry one and replace a flat car battery at your location. We repair and replace only — we never tow.
The area we cover around Saint-Tropez
We cover Saint-Tropez and the surrounding villages of Ramatuelle, Gassin, Cogolin, Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime. We reach you along the single RD98a access road, down the lanes towards the Pampelonne beaches, and via the A8 at exit 36 (Le Muy) upstream when the peninsula is gridlocked.
How fast can we reach you?
Saint-Tropez has a single congested access road, so honestly expect 55 to 75 minutes from our Toulon base. We will never claim 30 minutes here — the RD98a jams all summer and that is simply the reality.
On the motorway? If you are still on the A8 before the peninsula we cannot meet you on the hard shoulder — call 112 or use the orange SOS phone first, get behind the barrier, and we will come to exit 36 at Le Muy or the next aire.
Local tip for Saint-Tropez
The single RD98a access stays jammed throughout summer, stop-start heat strains tyres, and the narrow beach lanes scuff sidewalls against kerbs. On the way to Pampelonne, take the tight kerbs slowly — a kerbed sidewall means a replacement, not a quick repair.
Pricing & payment
We give you a clear price before we set off — no surprise surcharges. Pay by card on site, and ask for a VAT invoice for your travel-insurance claim. See our pricing page. Tyres are sold in pairs (2, 4 or 6).
Saint-Tropez: your questions answered
Do you speak English?
Yes — and Dutch as well. You will reach real English-speaking staff, so there is no language barrier even in the middle of the summer chaos. Call +33 9 72 16 29 07 and tell us where you are, for example at the Old Port or out towards Pampelonne.
My hire car has no spare wheel — can you help?
Yes. Hire cars here come with just a repair kit, which is hopeless against a kerbed tire on the beach lanes. We bring matching replacement tyres to you in Saint-Tropez and fit them on the spot so you don't lose the day.
Can you reach me on the RD98a into Saint-Tropez?
Yes — the RD98a is a single ordinary road, not a motorway, so we can come to you at a safe spot once you are off the live lane. Be aware the jams mean it can take us 55 to 75 minutes to get through.
Repair or replace — which will it be?
A nail in the tread can usually be repaired where you are. The sidewall scuffs that the narrow Pampelonne lanes cause cannot be repaired safely, so those need a replacement, fitted in pairs.
