Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Mobile Tyre Service in the Valley

Down from the Aiguille du Midi or the Mer de Glace, you reach the car park and find a flat with Mont-Blanc towering above. Whether you are near the Brévent cable car or on the RN205 towards Le Fayet, a local partner technician typically reaches you in 35 to 55 minutes and fixes it on the spot. English spoken, one phone call.

What we do, right where you are

We bring the kit to your car: puncture repair by plug or patch where the tread allows, tyre replacement in pairs (2, 4 or 6), valve and TPMS sensor work, on-site balancing, and spare fitting if you prefer. A flat battery, common in cold alpine mornings, can be jump-started or swapped. We never tow - it is repair or replace on the spot, and anything beyond tyres we direct you to 112 or your insurer.

The area we cover around Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Our Chamonix partner covers Les Houches, Argentière, Servoz, Vallorcine and Les Praz-de-Chamonix along the valley floor. We reach the A40 Autoroute Blanche (sortie 28 Le Fayet), the RN205 towards Le Fayet, the approach to the Mont-Blanc tunnel and the RD1506.

How fast can we reach you?

Since the technician is a local partner based in the valley rather than dispatched from a distant base, expect roughly 35 to 55 minutes depending on weather, traffic and your spot. This is an honest range, not a fixed promise - winter conditions and tunnel queues can lengthen it.

On the motorway? If you break down on the A40 Autoroute Blanche, we cannot attend the hard shoulder. Call 112 or use the orange SOS phone first, get behind the barrier, and we will meet you at the next exit or aire once you are clear of the carriageway.

Local tip for Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Cold, icy and gritted alpine roads are tough on tyres, and snow chains can mask a slow puncture. Check your pressures in the cold, carry the right winter tyres in season, and inspect sidewalls after driving on heavily gritted surfaces.

Pricing & payment

We give you a clear price before we set off — no surprise surcharges. Pay by card on site, and ask for a VAT invoice for your travel-insurance claim. See our pricing page. Tyres are sold in pairs (2, 4 or 6).

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc: your questions answered

Do you speak English?

Yes - the service is fully English-speaking, which suits Chamonix's international climbers and skiers; you can explain the problem and arrange the visit entirely in English.

My hire car has no spare wheel - can you help?

Yes. Alpine hire cars often carry only a repair kit, so we bring the correct tyre, including winter patterns in season, to you in the valley and fit it on the spot.

Can you reach me on the RN205 towards Le Fayet?

Yes, the RN205 towards Le Fayet is core to our valley patch for ordinary roadside stops; only on the A40 Autoroute Blanche itself must you call 112 first.

Will you repair the tyre or replace it?

A tread puncture with a healthy sidewall can usually be plugged or patched; if a kerb or pothole on a gritted road has damaged the sidewall, we replace in pairs for safe winter grip.
